Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (Agensi Kelayakan Malaysia) or the MQA is a statutory body in Malaysia set up under the Malaysian Qualifications Act 2007 to accredit academic programs provided by educational institutions providing post secondary or higher education and facilitate the accreditation and articulation of qualifications. MyQuest Rating
MyQUEST is introduced to provide a wider access towards achieving a better quality of higher education system in Malaysia. The quality assessment is one of the identified Key Result Areas for the Ministry of Education (MoE). Department of Higher Education (Private) MoE has taken an initiative to develop an instrument to evaluate the quality of all registered private colleges in Malaysia. MyQUEST is designed to evaluate the quality of the colleges as an institution rather than looking at the specific course.
JPA Recognition
JPA Accreditation has been given for Diploma in Technology students in ADTEC and Vocational Trainers Diploma in CIAST/ILP.
The Evaluation and Qualification Accreditation Permanent Committee (JTPPK), chaired by the Minister of Higher Education in its 85th meeting, held on 25 October 2004 has agreed to endorse qualification accreditation for Diploma in Technology programme from ADTEC/ILP and Diploma in Vocational Trainers from CIAST especially for those graduating in 2004 and earlier batches.

In its 85th meeting on August 9, 2007, JTPPK, chaired by the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia agreed to give accreditation for the Diploma in Vocational Trainerfrom CIAST and ILP and the Diplomas in Technology from ADTEC for graduates of 2005 - 2007. The accreditation given is at par with the Diplomas in Technology in public institutions of higher education. This is to help students from 2005 until 2007 intakes land appropriate jobs in the Malaysian Civil Service. The accreditation for the student intake after 2007 will be based on feedback from JTM with recommendations from JPA (as in Appendix: JPA (L) S.180/8/1-96 Klt 3 (22) and JPA (L) S.180/8/1-96 Klt 3 (23).
